Dr. Mitchell has been practicing dentistry in Austin for over twelve years. After completing his dental training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, he went on to pursue advanced coursework in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. He is known for his calm, patient-first approach and his particular ability to help anxious patients feel at ease from the very first appointment.
Dr. Mitchell grew up in San Antonio and came to Austin for dental school, falling in love with the city and its community. He coaches his son's youth soccer team on weekends and is deeply involved in Austin's community dental health initiatives.
Dr. Carter grew up in Waco and always planned to bring his dental career back to Central Texas. After completing his dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry, he joined Dr. Mitchell to co-found Riverside Family Dentistry. Dr. Carter has a special passion for working with families and children, including patients who have never been to the dentist before.
Outside the office, Dr. Carter is an avid fly fisherman and hiker. He and his wife have two young children who are, naturally, patients at Riverside. He believes that a practice that treats the whole family builds something that lasts for generations.
