Clear Aligner Therapy

Straighten your teeth without anyone knowing.

Invisalign clear aligners are the most popular way to straighten teeth for adults and teens who want results without the look of traditional metal braces. Dr. Mitchell is a certified Invisalign provider with experience treating a wide range of bite and alignment issues.

Invisalign Austin TX Riverside Family Dentistry
Overview

Straighten your teeth without anyone knowing.

Invisalign works by using a series of custom-made, virtually invisible plastic aligners that gradually shift your teeth into the correct position. You wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, then move to the next set. Treatment typically takes 12 to 18 months for most adults, though some cases are shorter. Because the aligners are removable, you eat whatever you want, brush and floss normally, and no one can tell you are straightening your teeth.

How is Invisalign different from traditional braces?

The aligners are nearly invisible, removable, and generally more comfortable than metal braces because there are no brackets or wires to irritate your cheeks. You can eat and drink whatever you want because you take the aligners out for meals. Treatment time is comparable to braces for most cases. Some complex orthodontic issues may still be better suited to traditional braces, which is something Dr. Mitchell will discuss with you at your consultation.

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions about Invisalign.

How long will my treatment take?

Most adult Invisalign cases take between 12 and 18 months. Mild cases, such as minor crowding or small gaps, can sometimes be completed in as few as six months. More complex cases may take up to 24 months. Dr. Mitchell will give you a clear timeline estimate at your consultation once he has reviewed your records.

How much does Invisalign cost?

Invisalign treatment at Riverside Family Dentistry typically ranges from ,000 to ,500 depending on the complexity of your case and the length of treatment. Many dental insurance plans now include an orthodontic benefit that can apply toward Invisalign. We also offer monthly payment plans through CareCredit and Sunbit to make treatment accessible.

Will Invisalign affect how I speak?

Most patients experience a very slight adjustment period of a few days when they first start wearing aligners. Any lisp or adjustment is temporary and most patients find their speech returns to normal within a week. After that, the aligners have no noticeable impact on how you speak.
